Review: Xndo Laksa Noodle

This week review is on Xndo Laksa Noodle. I have previously won 5 boxes of Xndo Laksa Noodle from Xndo Facebook Page Contest.

This Xndo Laksa Noodle is supposedly a healthier choice as compare to the usual Laksa as its only 195kcal and reduced Carbohydrate, good for those on diet. However, after trying out this Xndo Laksa noodle, I do feel that it is not really very tasty and the portion is not enough for me too.

Xndo Laksa Noodle is only 195kcal per serving. Its noodle is low in carbohydrate and is a source of dietary fibre to promote long-lasting satiation.

It is conveniently served with a medley of colourful vegetables in a light tangy Laksa.

What's best is no MSG added. A very healthy meal.

How to consume Xndo Laksa Noodle?
There are 2 type of serving method:

1. Microwave: Open box and find one pouch inside. Empty contents of pouch into a microwaveable bowl. Heat in the microwave for 2 - 3 mins and ready to serve. 
2. Heat in Water: Open box and find one pouch inside.Place the pouch into a pot of boiling water and simmer for 3 - 5 mins. Empty contents of pouch into a serving bowl and ready to serve.

My Review
I have previously won 5 boxes of Xndo Laksa Noodle from Xndo Facebook Page Contest.

The Xndo Laksa came in a pouch which says its not microwaveable. Therefore I used the 2nd method written on the box, heat in water.

I place the whole pouch into boiling water and simmer for 5 mins.

When its ready to serve, I opened it up and pour it into a bowl. There is no much Laksa fragrance smell. :( its not like those usual Laksa that comes with nice Laksa fragrance the moment its place on the table. I can hardly smell anything from the Xando Laksa. :(

The noodle taste like those not softly cooked mee sua. Its not soft and its a bit chewy. 

The Laksa noodle does not come with much Laksa gravy too. I find it a bit too dry. 

Xndo Laksa noodle comes with a bit of vegetables and some vegetarian meat. Well, it does not taste like laksa at all. :(

Overall, I do not feel that its tasty at all. Also, I do find the portion a bit not enough for me. However, its supposedly a healthier choice as compare to the usual Laksa as its only 195kcal and reduced Carbohydrate, good for those on diet but a bit expensive to me. 

If you are really considering buying for diet, I suggest you may want to try their other flavours instead. :)

This collagen powder is Color-less, Tasteless, Non-Sugar, Non-fat, 100% low molecular natural Collagen Powder. It contain 3000mg of Collagen per sachet. 

After trying out this collagen powder, I like it that its really colorless, odourless and tasteless collagen powder. It goes well with my daily drinks such as honey, chocolate drink, juice, peach tea, etc as well as soup without affecting the taste of the drink. But I have not seen any significant effect just drinking a few sachets. I think effect came with long term consumption.

My Review
I received a box of Itoh Collagen Powder from SampleStore.com.

This collagen powder is written to be Color-less, Tasteless, Non-Sugar, Non-fat, 100% low molecular natural Collagen Powder. It contain 3000mg of Collagen per sachet. 

So let see if its really Color-less and Tasteless as it claim. Because some collagen product claim to be Color-less and Tasteless but turns out not true. So let see if this Itoh collagen powder keep its promise. ;)

First lets talk about the product packet. The 14 sachets came in a box that can be easily opened with its dotted opening. 

Box is easy to open.

The collagen is then pack in 14 small sachets which is easy to carry around and consume. You just have to open one sachet per consumption. No need to worry if its too much or too little. Each sachet's amount is readily divided for you. :)

The collagen powder is white in color. Opening the sachet, they is no fishy smell.

I first try mixing it in plain water, so that I can taste if its really tasteless. Not only its odourless, its also tasteless.

Besides mixing in plain water, I also mix it in my daily drinks such as honey, peach tea, orange juice, etc. It does not affect the taste of the drink at all.

On the box it says that I can mix in soup. So I tried mixing the collagen powder in hot drink as well as in the soup I drink for dinner. It also did not affect the taste.

But one thing I notice that its take quite sometime to fully dissolve in the water. It dissolve a little faster in hot drinks or soup then in cold drinks.

After trying out this collagen powder, I like it that its really colorless, odourless and tasteless collagen powder. Review: Bioflora Collabee Honey and Collagen

This week review is on Bioflora Collabee Honey and Collagen. This is a sample I received from my April 2013 Black Box. 

Overall, this collagen drink do not have fishy taste. Its taste sweet and sour. I do not actually feel any different or anything just by drinking only one bottle. Perhaps will only be able to see the different by drinking more bottles over a long term period.

My Review
This is a sample I received from my April 2013 Black Box.

My first impression after see only the bottle is it contain honey. So it should taste good. 

The bottle comes with yellow wrap. Pretty nice to me. :) I place the bottle in the refrigerator as recommended. 

How the bottle look like.

First thing I always want to know for collagen drink, is the bottle easy to open. This Collabee bottle's cap is easy to open even after taken out from the refrigerator. 

Once open, I can actually smell a mixture of honey and fishy smell. But the fishy smell is not very heavy. :)

The Collabee collagen drink is dark brown in color. One look at it, it look like Singapore's Herbal tea (Jia Jia Liang Cha)

The collagen drink have no fishy taste. :D It taste sweet and sour and a little honey taste. Sweet due to the honey. Sour maybe due to Pineapple flavour.

The collagen drink taste not sweet enough, I feel. Its more sour then sweet. But I like sour drink. So its still ok for me. 

I do not actually feel any different or anything just by drinking only one bottle. Perhaps will only be able to see the different by drinking more bottles over a long term period.

Overall this drink taste good to me but its a bit expensive for me though. :P

This week review will be on The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Lip Balm. This is a product I bought at The Body Shop during the Christmas Season. 

Overall, I love this Cranberry Joy Lip Balm very much. It have a nice cranberry fragrance and also it is able to moisturise my lip, preventing it from cracking. A lip balm that I would recommend getting.

How to use The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Lip Balm?
Apply directly to lips. Re-apply as needed. 

My Review
This is a product I bought at The Body Shop during the Christmas Season.

This Cranberry Joy products from The Body Shop can be seen in the shop during Christmas season. And not only the Cranberry Joy lip balm, I love other Cranberry Joy products too. So it is a must buy during this time of the year. :D

The lip balm comes in a nice dome. I personally feel that it is very convenient to bring along. Also it is very easy to apply as compare to The Body Shop Lip butter. You do not need to dirty your finger or buy lip pencil. Just apply directly to lip. =D>

The lip balm is red in color. Opening the cap, you can smell very nice cranberry fragrance.

The lip balm is also not oily as compare to their lip butter. 

I usually apply it before I go to bed. It is able to last until I wake up the next day morning. My lip is still moisturise.

Overall, I love this Cranberry Joy Lip Balm very much. It have a nice cranberry fragrance and also it is able to moisturise my lip, preventing it from cracking. A lip balm that I would recommend getting. :)
