I was privileged to attend a Tea Appreciation Workshop by Tea Chapter and
Mediacorp's Meclub on 11 Sep 2015 evening at
Tea Chapter.
I love to drink Chinese tea. But able to do it in the right way is another question. So I am pretty excited to attend this workshop.
The workshop is located at the 3rd floor of Tea Chapter.

The moment we step into the shop, we will have to remove our shoes.

I like the whole ambience of the shop, very zen. I feel very calm and relax the moment I step in. A very good place to free our mind off the busy work life in Singapore. Shop is also decorated with lots of Chinese oriental decorations.

Before going into what was done at the workshop, lets talk a little about Tea Chapter.
Tea Chapter is established in 1989. It is one of the biggest tea houses in Singapore and its visitors include Queen Elizabeth II. Besides selling tea leaves, tea wares and tea books, it has become a big name in tea appreciation education too.

The workshop begin with the Tea Master educating us on the History of Tea over the different dynasty.

The Tea Master then educate us on the different type of tea. And we learn that there are 6 colors of tea. Each, with its own character, taste and health benefits.

Then came the most important part of the workshop, how to prepare and drink Chinese tea.

I have the privilege to appreciate the cup of tea the Tea Master prepared. Its great!

We ended the workshop with having tea (Dragon Well 龙井 and Imperial Golden Cassia 御用黄金桂) and snacks (Tea Egg 茶叶蛋, Chapter 7 Cookies 茶渊精选香酥 and Osmanthus Tea Jelly), putting what the Tea Master just taught us.

The tea and snacks taste great, especially the Chapter 7 Cookies. The tea egg taste a little different from those we usually eat. Tea Chapter's tea egg contain more tea taste while the normal one we ate contain more herbal taste.
At the end of the day, we each went home with a small bag of Flora Blossom tea.

Overall I really enjoy myself, feeling zen with my family and new friends met there.
