This is the first time I am having Halal Yu Sheng. And they definitely look more healthy then the usual Yu Sheng I have eaten due to the vegetables instead of pickles.
All the vegetables are really fresh and crunchy. Salmon is also fresh and delicious.
I have tasted the Yu Sheng too after tossing them with my Muslim friend. They taste really delicious. The sweet and sour taste just on the dot and really appetizing.

Before the Lo Hei, you need to arrange the Yu Sheng of course. This is the time you exercise your creativity. For me, I tried my best to create the OX. Looks pretty to me. 😁

Recently, I have been applying the Antioxidant Hydro Serum. This serum keep my skin smooth and hydrated to prepare for applying other skincare products as well as makeup products.
About Energy Seed Advanced Antioxidant Hydro Serum
This is a first skincare step water type serum from The Face Shop.
After cleansing, spread an appropriate amount of serum over your face (can use cotton pad too) and let it absorb.
Apply toner and other skincare product after that.
Serum can be moisten on cotton pad and leave it over dry area of skin for 3 minutes as a quick face pack.

Due to Christmas sale last year, I came across Energy Seed Advanced Antioxidant Hydro Serum at The Face Shop Store.
The first thing that attract my attention is the no harmful ingredients used followed by it's a first skincare step serum.
The price is pretty wallet friendly and even more so after discount. So I decided to give it a try.
The serum came in a green bottle. Not very attractive bottle to me actually.

The cap came with a stopper for easy pouring of the serum amount.

The serum have a liquid texture that is not oily and not sticky.

Also no particular smell. At least I didn't smell any.
This serum is easy to apply. My skin is able to absorb the serum well. My skin feels smooth and supple after use. Also it keeps my skin hydrated and prepared for other skincare product application.
However, no much improvement that I see. I personally think that this bottle of serum is not enough for my combination acne skin. I need other skincare products for other problems. But the wallet friendly and harmless ingredients of this product is worth a try.

For me, perfume is a no no as I always hate the strong choking smell that makes me sneezes non stop. But Maison 21G change my view of wearing perfume. Yes...you will know why in a while.
Last week, I had the opportunity to smell and create my own perfume. A perfume that is uniquely me. Thanks to Maison 21G.

My first impression when I step into the store? The store smells great!!! Very fragrance essential oil smell that attracted me to step further in and explore.
The store is very cozy with areas well divided and decorated. Looks very at home to me with sofa, bar counter, products corner and at work area.

This is the area where my perfume creation was carried out.

I was greeted by their friendly staff Kelvin, who showed me around the store and I was served with a cup of tea too.
My perfume creation session is done with the lovely scent designer, Amanda.

The perfume creation session start with me doing their online personality quiz. This quiz serve as a guide for the scent designer to pick scents close to my personality.
For me, my quiz result shows I am the Social Enthusiast. But of course, it's a guide only. The scent designer had a further chat with me to know more about me before she pick some scents for me to choose.

Next, my smelling begin. Here, I need to smell and find those scents that click with me and eliminate those that don't.
This step of the perfume creation reminded me on my trip a few years ago to Paris, where I learn that the best way to prepare your nose in between smelling different scent is to smell yourself first. Amanda reminded me the same thing as well before I start smelling. No rush and I can go outside the store for fresh air before coming back in if need be.
Smelling and eliminating scents.
Also the choosing process is actually quite fun and interesting. I don't just sit and choose. After the first round of elimination, Amanda actually bring me outside the store. Breath in fresh air and re-smell the scents again. It actually interest me that same scent, I actually have different view of it after smelling indoor and outdoor. Here I further eliminate and keep those scents that clicks well with me.
Next step, the scent designer will do the math (while I relax and wait 😁😜) of calculating how much each scent goes into my perfume.
Each perfume consist of 3 notes:
Top notes
The first impression or your smile.The most volatile molecular structure, that is why
they are always the first notes you smell. But because the molecular
chain is so short, it will only last for about 1 hour.
Heart/Middle notes
This makes the body of your perfume, or what we equate with as your character. These last longer, they are more woody, floral, and last for about 6 - 8 hours.
Bottom notes
This note is what we call the lasting impression and equate it with your soul.It's basically what you leave behind when you go.
They have the longest chain of molecules, which means they have the most
complex molecular structure. They are muskier, oriental and heavier and
they 'weigh' the top and heart notes together. These last for 18 - 24
hours.
For me I chosen 4 scents. Namely, Muguet, Lavender, Rose and Almond. I actually have 3 heart notes and 1 bottom notes. Well, It is not always necessary to mix top note, heart note and bottom note. It really depend on how long lasting you want the perfume and also the chemistry the scent have with my skin. Well, as long as I am happy with my perfume. 😘
Final 4 scents chosen.
Next came the most interesting step. Mixing the scents into the base of the perfume according to the calculated weight from the scent designer. The base they use is ethanol. And you get to mix it yourself. Check out my mixing video below.

Well it doesn't end there. I get to smell the perfume I mix again and the scent designer will adjust the amount of the scent to add accordingly.
The last step, customizing the bottle of the perfume. Yes, you get to customize it with the help of their UV printer. For me, my name as well as the scents I chosen were printed on the bottle of the perfume.

Tada!!! Done!! And I love it so much!! Such a gorgeous little bottle of perfume.

It came with a nice perfume box to hold your bottle of perfume.
The whole process of perfume creation takes around 1 hour for me.
I have been wearing my perfume since. The smell is of course unique and lovely. It smell a mixture of floral that is refreshing and lifted my mood. And they lasted really long. I can still smell my perfume at the end of the day.

Overall, the perfume creation session is really, fun, interesting and educational. You know what goes into your perfume and most importantly, no harmful ingredients. Best of all, I finally found my unique perfume. At the same time, it change my view of wearing perfume. Perfume can smell nice too and helps lift your mood and confident throughout the day.

Thanks to OurPasar Essentials, I received 1kg of beef Sirloin (5 pieces) from them last week.

The beef came in 5 slices, 1" each. They are pretty fresh and easy to handle after de-froze.

For me, I used the 1kg of beef Sirloin to make into 3 different dishes.

Each slice of the beef Sirloin came in the right size just nice for 1 person.
All I need to do is season with salt, pepper and herbs. And pan fry to medium rare. I also made black pepper sauce to go with the steak.
After seasoning.
The steak taste fresh and delicious with my sauce and seasoning. However, I still find it not tender enough as compare to ribeye steak. This Sirloin had a much better texture after cooked with my 2 other dishes.

Crispy Sirloin
Fried food is always a popular dish on the dining table.
Dice 1 piece of Sirloin beef into small cubes. Hammer it slightly. Season with sesame oil, salt and pepper. Then I coat it with the crispy flour from Taiwan which I bought from Tangs and deep fry.

Yum Yum!! the crispy Sirloin taste so crispy and tender. And it goes well with Chilli sauce or Mayonnaise. And also my homemade chives kimchi.

Beef Stew
This is one dish that goes very well with rice.
Dice 2 pieces of Sirloin beef into around 1" size each. Season them and slow cooked with other vegetables.
OMG!! The Sirloin beef taste so soft and tender and it absorbed the gravy. Taste so delicious with rice!
