Event: Acrylic Pour Express Workshop at Room To Imagine

It's been long since my last blog post. How has it been for everyone? In just a few hours, we will be stepping into a new year.

But before this, I would love to share with you a fun and interesting workshop I went to last weekend. You may already know what is it from my blog post title. Yes...I went to Acrylic Pour Express Workshop from Room To Imagine. 

This is the first time I get to try acrylic pouring. I love to do art and craft. So I am really excited to get my hands dirty on this one. 😜😎😍

Room To Imagine is located in Jalan Besar. Erm....before I get to the real challenge, I must conquer this long long stairs monster to level 4 of the venue. 😫😰

But the moment I step into Room To Imagine, I go yeah (for finally reaching) and wow (to all the art pieces on the wall).

Then I listen carefully to Cindy's demo on the acrylic pouring. (Ok...I need to eat ginkgo pills. Coz this moment she say...the next moment I forgot 🙈) But thanks to all the guidance along the way. :)

This workshop is a great introduction for beginners like me to acrylic pouring. All the materials and the acrylic paints are all prepared ready for use. 

All I have to do is choose colors, put in liquid silicone, pour onto the canvas panel, burn it and tadah.....done. Ok easy to say, I am really nervous along the way. (OS in my heart to myself...correct or not.....just pour?....will it turn out good?)😅😆

Erm.....the end product look really beginner...but still it's my beautiful and unique piece of acrylic pour artwork....LOL....it's ok....the process is fun and interesting. Hm....my friends says it look like strawberry ice cream that melted...hahahaha...what do you think?

Review: Suisse Programme Cellular Revitalizing Toner

Suisse Programme Cellular Revitalizing Toner (200ml)

Toner is the basic of everybody's skin care routine. The Cellular Revitalizing Toner is the 2nd product I try from Suisse Programme.

This toner works like any other normal toner, refreshing and prepare skin for the rest of the skin care application. It produces some kin of a light perfume smell. Not a wallet friendly toner to me.

My Review
This is my 2nd Suisse Programme product. 

It came nicely in a silver box.

The Cellular Revitalizing Toner is contained in a transparent bottle.

The cap can be easily turned open with a small hole in the middle to pour the toner out. Which I find sometime, I will pour all over the place. It will be better if it came with a pump.

The toner has a watery texture . It is non greasy and non sticky. However, it produces a light fragrance perfume smell, which I don't really like.

The toner make my skin feels refreshing, smooth and moisturized. It does prepares my skin for the application of the next skin care products. 

However, for a toner that is that not wallet friendly at all and provides only normal effect, I don't think it is worth it. :(

My Review
With natural thin hair, hair thinning and hair loss is a huge problem to me as it is easily visible to me. 

If you have been following my blog, you should have notice that I have been using other brands of hair thinning and hair loss products to help my hair thinning and hair loss issue before I go botah (bald). 

Recently through events, I get to know DrGL Solution Hair Serum for Anti-Hairloss. Just about the right time as I am thinking to try other brand's hairloss product since the result of the current one I am using is already stagnant. Maybe new try can stimulate new results? 

This DrGL Solution Hair Anti-Hairloss came in a very classy green bottle.

Spray is given when I first bought the product from Shunji Matsuo Hair Salon. The staff helped me to fix it into my hairloss bottle.

The solution itself is pretty lightweight and is non greasy. It is colorless.

Together with using this product, I actually went for DrHair Scalp cleansing treatment with also using scalp cleansing products. I have to make sure my scalp pores is not clogged in order for it to absorb all the goodness from the serum. 

I have been using DrGL Solution Hair Anti-Hairloss for more than 1 month now. I have stopped going for scalp cleansing treatment but I still did use cleansing scalp product regularly, 3 times a week to make sure my scalp is not clogged.

I usually use this serum 3 times a week after deep cleansing the scalp. With towered dry hair. Just 2 pump is enough for my whole hair scalp, concentrating at the top middle area.

I did notice my scalp is cleansed and less oily. Also less hair fall and healthy too. 

As for thicker hair, I still did not see results yet. Maybe I need longer usage to see result? I shall continue to use it and observed further. 

The product may be expensive. But 1 bottle actually last me quite long. So it's actually not very expensive looking at how long I can use it. I am around 2 months of using and I have used up only 1/4 of the bottle only.

Review: Ricola Instant Tea Elderflower

You have drink many brands of instant tea or eaten Ricola herbal sweets. But do you know that Ricola have instant tea too?

I came across Ricola Instant tea when I go Switzerland for tour. Bought a can back and try. Wow, the tea taste just exactly like the sweet. It feels so refreshing after drinking. It is not too sweet too.

My Review
Ricola is a well heard brand. Popular for its herbal sweets. But do you know that they have Instant Tea too?

Last month when I was in Switzerland, I came across a surprise (at least to me) finding at one of their supermarket. Ricola Instant Tea!!!

My first reaction was what!! Ricola actually produces Tea!!! I have never seen it in Singapore. So with my curious antenna on, I bought 1 can home to try. 

The instant tea came in a round container. The wording and printing style on the container just look like the Ricola sweet.

Opening the container cap, the tea is sealed with foil that can be easily peal off.

Once opened, I can smell nice sweet fragrance that is similar to the Ricola sweet.

I have chosen Elderflower flavour as I remembered that the sweet version taste great. So I thought the tea will be equally nice.

The tea is light yellowish in color. And I made it cold. One sip of the tea and indeed. The tea does taste just like the Ricola Elderflower sweet. Very nice aromatic herbs taste that is not too sweet. And it taste equally nice when hot.

I think I have fall in love with this Ricola Instant Tea and will try their other flavours.

Creme Simon Brightening Restorative Light Night Moisturiser (50ml)

Have you heard and used products from Creme Simon before? I have seen good reviews about Creme Simon products and finally, I get to use their Brightening Restorative Light Night Moisturiser.

Not sure if it's only for my problematic skin. It does not have good effect on my T-zone. During the period of using, there are more blemish seen on my T-zone area. Sad to say, it does not suit my skin. I use it only on my cheek and neck that is dryer and not so acne-prone.

My Review
I have long wanted to try Creme Simon products after hearing so much good reviews on them. 

Finally get to get hold of Creme Simon Brightening Restorative Light Night Moisturiser during one of their flash sale.

The moisturiser came with a very nice bottle.

It came with a pump. For me, I used only 1 pump for each application.

The moisturiser is light weight and had a white creamy texture. It is non greasy and consist of a light fragrance smell.

During application, my skin feels cooling and refreshing and the moisturiser is easy to absorb. After a while, skin feels smooth to touch.

However, not sure if it's only for my problematic skin, there are more blemish seen on my T-zone area during this period of application. It does not seem to have good effect on my T-zone. 

But in order not to waste the product, I only apply them on my cheek and neck area which is more dry and not so acne-prone. Effect seems to be ok on these area.

My Review
Last weekend's dinner is a different one for my family. Thanks to Shepherd's Pie Singapore for delivering hot and delicious shepherd's pies for my family's dinner. 

I love shepherd's pie. So I was really looking forward to it. 

The shepherd's pie came late afternoon towards evening, nicely pack in a black box. Labelled clearly what is inside.

I have with me, 1 mini beef pie, 1 mini and 1 medium chicken pie. I still can feel the heat of the pie when I hold the box. Yes, they are still hot when they arrived. And I can smell nice cheese fragrance when I open up the box.

Beef Shepherd Pie
Only I eat beef. So naturally, the 1 mini beef pie goes to me.😄 The moment I deep my spoon into the pie and pull it out, I can already smell nice mixture of beef with cheese fragrance.

The mashed potatoes taste fluffy and melts in my mouth. 

The cheese on the very top is chewy. 

The beef mix with very little amount of vegetables inside, taste sweet at first but as I chew longer, very light amount of pepper can be tasted. I can taste the beef but it is not too gamey, just nice to me.

When all combine into 1 mouthful, a very delicious Shepherd's Pie indeed!!!

Chicken Shepherd Pie
The chicken shepherd's pie had the same consistency in term of the taste as the beef shepherd's pie. Just that instead of tasting beef, I taste chicken.

The chicken taste very tender. The sauce taste pretty much the same as the beef one to me, sweet at first but peppery towards the end. 

I must say, the fillings and the mashed potatoes ratio is just nice to me. You won't feel tired eating too much of it.

There is nothing I can really fault about for these pies. But if you really want me to pick the bones in an egg, then I shall say, maybe a little more carrots and corns will be even better for me as I love vegetables. This will give the meat a tad of vegetable taste.  (Can I have Vegetable Shepherd's Pie in future?😁😝)

Shepherd's Pie is always a great food to have for any occasion, especially during tea break, lunch and dinner with friends and family. It goes well with a cup of tea or even over a cup of wine. It is convenient and very filling.

For the healthy conscious folks, potatoes is in the same section as rice and noodles in the food pyramid. So I must say it is sometimes great to replace rice with potatoes in your meals. They are lower in calories and fats, higher in fiber and same proteins as compare with rice.

For my family that day, we realize that the shepherd's pie actually goes well with the fired wanton skin!!! Ok not very healthy but it is really a very delicious pairing I must say.
