Event: SILKYGIRL BB Makeup Workshop

I have attended SILKYGIRL BB Makeup Workshop at Watsons Office @Fuji Xerox Towers on 4 July 2014 morning. 

It was an excited morning, attending the workshop together with my blogger friend, Rena (Revamp Spunky Rena). Although I do feel a little lazy and a little sleepy to wake up so early to attend workshop. :)

It was my first time visiting Watsons Office @Fuji Xerox Tower. Forgive me for not taking a picture of this very cozy waiting corner, but I must mention this area. As we are pretty early, the workshop is not readily setup yet. So we are made to sit at the waiting area. This waiting area actually look like a mini shop. Besides comfortable chairs and TV which made you feel sitting at your home living room, it consist of a few shelves of products and a mini cashier. A pretty cozy area for their staff indeed. :)

Ok, enough of my long winded talks. Lets get to the detail of the workshop. 

Immediately when we are brought into the workshop training room when its ready, we saw lots of SILKYGIRL products laying on each table. And while waiting for the rest to come, I am busy taking pictures of these products.

As usual, the workshops started out with slides introducing makeup benefits and makeup steps. This follows with step by step makeup hands-on session.

How to conceal and highlight.

There is however something different from this makeup workshop with those I attended previously. Usually in workshop, the trainer will show how to put on the makeup with the help of a model sitting in front of everyone. But for this workshop, the trainer herself sit in front and show us really how to apply the makeup onto herself.

This is really good because how to apply for others and how to apply onto our own face is really different. And in fact I do find it difficult to apply onto myself just by watching how the trainer apply onto the model. The way to hold the makeups is really way different. So I really like it when the trainer demo it onto her own face. Just the way we will hands-on after her demo. Brilliant!

In the workshop, we not only learn how to conceal and highlight, we did simple eye shadow and smokey eye shadow. But I guess I am not good in eye shadow really because my smokey eye shadow fail badly. :(

Of course, it ended with photo taking. But one thing missing, there is no refreshment for this workshop. I was so hungry after the workshop.

There is actually nothing special about this cleanser bar. Other than the nice fragrance smell and my skin feel clean after cleansing with it, there is nothing that wow me really. Its just feel like the normal old kind of cleansing bar that my mum's generation uses.

My Review
I bought this at guardian when its selling a packet of Oilum Travel size products for S$1 or $2. Since its so cheap, I decided to buy and try it. 

The cleansing bar came in a small rectangle paper box.

The cleansing bar itself is wrap in a plastic bag. When opened, there is a light fragrance smell.

The cleansing bar is oval in shape and is yellow in color. It just look like those olden days soap that my mum's generation uses.

When lather with water, it produces a lot of foam. I notice during lather that the nice fragrance smell is gone. I smell those traditional kind of soap smell, which is not pleasant to me.

But funny thing is that after I rinse and dry my skin, the nice fragrance smell is back again. hmm......magic huh??!!

Anyway, after cleansing, my face do feel clean. But other than that, it doesn't feel soft and smooth. I don't feel specially moisturizing but at the same time, this cleansing bar do not actually dry my skin. 

Overall, there is actually nothing special about this cleanser bar. Other than the nice fragrance smell and my skin feel clean after cleansing with it, there is nothing that wow me really. Its just feel like the normal old kind of cleansing bar that my mum's generation uses.

Review: Phytopolleine

Phytopolleine (25ml)

This week review will be on Phytopolleine. This is a botanical scalp treatment product that I bought from Beauty By Nature Store. 

I have been using this amazing product for more than 1 year now. Overall, it really help improve my thinning hair condition. I have less hair drop and my hair as well as scalp have became much more healthy. And no more scalp flakes too. This in turn make my hair silky, soft and natural shin. :)

My Review
This week review will be on Phytopolleine. This is a botanical scalp treatment product that I bought from Beauty By Nature Store. 

I have been using this amazing product for more than 1 year now. I was troubled with hair thinning more than a year ago. And through a Phyto workshop conducted at John Little, I was introduce to this amazing product. 

Lets take a look at this product. I first bought the 25ml bottle Phytopolleine.

Phytopolleine is clear yellow in color and has an oil based texture.

It consist of an opening tube for easy application to the hair scalp.

The product consist of a strong mint and plant smell. It still smell ok to me. 

Although the product says use once or twice a week. But I actually use it on alternate days, applying it about 1 hour before shower, and then washing it off with Phyto Shampoo.  Followed by applying Phytocyane treatment serum.

I have been maintaining this routine till now. My hair thinning issue have improved about a few months after using. And to date now, it has improved a lot more. I have less hair drop and no more scalp flakes too. This in turn make my hair silky, soft and natural shin. And I totally fall in love with this product.

Oh yes. They do have a 100ml big bottle for this product. I actually bought the 100ml bottle thereafter because it much cheaper. I will then refill it into the 25ml bottle that I have kept after finishing it for easy application.

Review: Kinohimitsu ProWhite

This week review is on Kinohimitsu ProWhite. This was a sample redeemed from SampleStore.com.

Overall this Kinohimitsu ProWhite taste like berries syrup juice. It taste delicious to me without any funny taste or smell. But too bad I only have 1 sample sachet, therefore cannot really comment on the effect of this drink.

Open sachet and pour it directly into the mouth or mix it with 150ml water. Serve with chilled water for delicious taste.

Kinohimitsu ProWhite came in small 8g sachet, easy to bring around. And the best thing I read from the package is that I can just pour it into my mouth, even more convenient.

The ProWhite is Pink in color and when I open the sachet, I can smell very nice berries fragrance. Very nice smell to me. :)

I only have one sachet. So I choose to mix with 150ml of water. As its consume before bedtime, I choose not to drink it chilled. I use room temperature water. 

The powder when mix with water, can be easily dissolved.

And the drink taste pretty nice to me. I feel like drinking those syrup drink during parties, berries flavour drink. There is totally no funny taste or smell. So no need for me to mix it in other drinks, I just use it on its own. :)

However, I only have 1 sachet to try. So I am not able to comment anything on the effect. 1 sachet consumption brings no effect yet. But S$69.90 per box (30 sachets) feels pretty expensive to me. That means 1 sachet cost around S$2.33, too expensive to me in long run. :(
